HOW TO QUALIFY:

If you earn $25,950 in covered earnings within a one year span or work 100 days, you qualify for the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan. Your coverage starts the next quarter after qualifying in January, April, July, or October.

If you are over 65 years of age and NOT taking a pension, your residuals will count towards qualifying for healthcare.
If you are between 55 and 65 taking a pension, your residuals will also count.
If you are over 65 and ARE taking a pension, only your sessional earnings will count, not your residuals.

Plan Participants pay quarterly premiums of:
$375 for the participant only.
$531 plus one dependent.
$747 plus two or more dependents.

The Health Plan covers prescription drugs, dental, vision, and behavioral issues.

There is too much additional important information to include here, especially with regards to spouses, “Retirees,” and “Senior Performers” so for all the specifics, visit the plan’s website.

The Health Plan is managed by a Board of Trustees;
half appointed by the national board of SAG-AFTRA and half by our employers.
