National Leadership Structure

As laid out in the National Constitution

10 National Officers
The SAG-AFTRA National President is the highest member leadership position, followed by the Executive Vice President (EVP), then the Secretary-Treasurer, and then 7 National Vice Presidents. All of them have a seat on the National Board by virtue of their positions.

70 National Board of Directors Members
Every one of our 25 Union Locals elects members to the National Board and as Convention Delegates who elect the 7 National Vice Presidents at the biennial Convention.

The Los Angeles Local has 28 National Board seats,
New York has 16,
San Francisco-Northern California, Washington-Mid-Atlantic, and Chicago each have 2 seats,
and the remaining 20 Small and Mid-size Locals each have 1 National Board seat.

National Committee Members
Members are selected for each National Committee by the National President and must be approved by the National Board.
